Was named after Johann Fuchs, a German mineralogist around 1998.

• Is a softer stone, and is rated at 2.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. 
• Is a mix of Muscovite and Mica. Small amounts of Chromium can be found within the stone which is where the green colour tones come from. The higher the content of CHromium, the deeper the colour will be. 

Locality:

Most commonly found in Brazil. Smaller deposits can also be found in India, Zimbabwe and Russia.
